Welcome! I'm Mags, the Grand Poobah of the MappyEverAfter website. I also write this Mappy Monday newsletter, which finds its way to your inbox on the last Monday of every month.
I grew up in Slovakia, lived in England, Italy, Spain, and the US, and traipsed far and wide. Along the way, I somehow managed to indulge in luxury on a shoestring budget (like that New Year's weekend and a balloon party in a 1450-square-foot penthouse suite in San Diego, California, or that free stay at one of the priciest Hyatt properties in the world, Alila Ventana Big Sur) and dive into local cultures for unique experiences (like our 5 weeks on a water buffalo farm in Laos or a week at the biggest psychedelic conference in the world, both for free), proving that you can have your cake and eat it too. Or at least, have a delicious slice once in a while.
I love learning for its own sake, my interests tend to change at an alarming speed and I’m still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up.
But a few things have remained constant: my thirst for connection, my belief that people all over the world are good, and my fascination with the mysteries of the universe and our place in it.
