Welcome,
Thank you for allowing me to share my shaky first website attempt with you.
It was inspired by that voice in my head (one of many) that says: “There must surely be a better way!” Only the most perfect of things escape this judgment.
Shoestring travel on as little as $50 a day? I’m sorry, travel bloggers, but there must be a better way. $50 is a lot of money for the majority of the world. As it turns out, the hubby and I have lived in many places happily on $10 per day, per person.
Thinking there’s no way for an average Joe to stay at the Park Hyatt in Sydney or Paris? The rooms go for $800 - $1500/night. We stayed in both for free courtesy of Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
Ever tried to book one of the 440 campsites in Yosemite Valley? There must be a better way than sitting at the computer at 7 am on a cold winter morning the second reservations open, with the ambition to beat the other 4 million yearly visitors to the punch. You guessed it, there is. We spent a week in Yosemite in August, the busiest month of the year, by booking last-minute spots that someone managed to snatch in the aforementioned winter frenzy and later regretted and canceled.
Tired of being treated for chronic pain with pills, creams, shots, and physical therapy for years to no avail? There is surely a better way. We have put various alternative theories to the test with great results so far and plan to write about them at length.
Now, whenever I try something that works, instead of shouting “Why doesn’t everyone talk about this?”, I can sit down and write about it for you.
MappyEverAfter is a growing collection of our stories and experiences. May you find what you’re looking for.
Welcome to our tribe.
